Birding
Being in one of the largest flyways for migrating birds is a huge benefit of living in Interior Alaska. During the summer the plethora of bird species is almost impossible to comprehend. In the winter most of the get smart and leave, but we do have some brave ones that hang around. As the migrators fly thousands of miles they stop for a break in Fairbanks and visit Creamers Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge in the spring and summer. I hope to add more birds to my life list every year.
